Usage Note 20759: Loading user-defined covariance matrices from a server
SAS OpRisk VaR 3.2.1 does not read user-defined covariance matrices from
the server. They must be loaded from the client machine.
This is because the browsing dialog points only to the client machine,
and there is no way to make the browsing dialog point to a different
machine.
A hot fix adding this functionality is pending. After applying the hot
fix, you will be able to point to a different machine.
In addition to the hot fix, there are 2 workarounds.
The first workaround is to put the covariance matrices in a file on the
server that can to be mapped to a drive on the client machine.
The second workaround is to install the SAS OpRisk VaR client on the
same machine as the SAS OpRisk VaR Server. When a covariance matrix
needs to be created, you can run the SAS OpRisk VaR client that is on
the SAS OpRisk VaR server machine.
Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
