Usage Note 20698: How to remove entries from the License Manager plug-in for SASĀ® Management Console
If a SAS installation is displayed in the License Manager plug-in for
SAS Management Console, you can remove the SAS installation entry by
running the following SAS code from the machine, prior to deleting SAS:
PROC METAINSTALL
UNINSTALL;
RUN;
However, there must be a network connection to the SAS® Metadata Server
at the time the code is run. The code removes the SAS installation
listed for that particular machine name. The history record for the
machine name is updated to show that SAS was uninstalled. The machine
name remains on the list of machines in the License Manager plug-in for
SAS Management Console.
There is currently no supported method to remove the actual machine name
from the list of machines in the plug-in. Machine records might have
other metadata associations, which are needed by other SAS applications.
Removing the machine removes the history records also.
