When you submit a request to the SAS^® Stored Process Server, you might receive the following error message if one of your MultiBridge Stored Process Server connections is not functioning properly:

   ** ERROR or WARNING messages: ***
   Stored Process Error
   Error returned from stored process.

   STP MVA App: sas program execution error: Submit failed
   Object does not exist.
   STP: A failure occurred running specified Stored Process in context.

If you receive this error message, then do the following:

1. Stop your object spawner.
2. Check to make sure that no SAS processes that are owned by the "sassrv" (SAS General Server) user account are running. If you find any such processes, they are probably unresponsive SAS Stored Process Servers.

   On Windows you can use the Windows Task Manager to find processes that are running under the "sassrv" account.

   On UNIX, you can use the following command:

           > ps -ef | grep sassrv
   

   You will need to terminate these processes to make sure that all SAS Stored Process Servers have been shut down. On UNIX, you can use the kill command. On Windows, you can use the Windows Task Manager.

3. Restart your Object Spawner.
