Usage Note 20476: How to install SAS Broker and the Client Side CGI tools on the
Windows Vista operating system
- Insert the cd labeled "SAS Client-side Components Volume 3".
- If you have Windows autorun on and it tries to start up a program,
it will pop up a window asking you whcih language you want to use. Click
'Cancel'.
- Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the drive that the SAS CD is in, right-click, and click on 'Explore'.
- Go to the 'Client21cd' folder and then the 'cgitools' folder.
- Double-click on 'Setup_Win32.exe'.
An InstallShield window appears entitled "Welcome to the
InstallShield Wizard for SAS Intrnet CGI Tools.
- Click 'Next'.
- Page down and click on 'License Agreement.'
The "Setup Type" dialog box appears.
- Leave the button at the default 'Typical' and click on 'next'.
- Choose the path for the /sasweb URL (for example,
c:\inetpub\wwwroot\sasweb).
- If the installation asks if you want to create a new directory,
select "Yes".
- Choose the path for the CGI executables (for example, for the Microsoft
IIS web server, it might be c:\inetpub\scripts).
- Enter the URL for the CGI executables (for example,
http://[YourServer]/scripts) which matches that physical directory
you just entered).
- Review the settings before copying files. The CGI files are copied to the paths chosen.
- Select Finish.
These following components are now installed--the most important of
which is the broker CGI file:

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
