Problem Note 20233: Increasing timeout value on UNIX may improve performance
By default, SAS® 9.1.3 will poll a child process to determine whether the
process can be terminated. The default timeout value is 50 milliseconds.
On some UNIX systems, this value may be too small and may introduce
performance problems. The hot fix associated with this SAS Note changes
the default timeout to 100 milliseconds. This may improve performance.
Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
