Problem Note 20162: Using functions without parameters in WHERE clauses can block Implicit
Pass-Through
Using functions that do not contain arguments [for example, DATE(),
TODAY(), and DATETIME()] in WHERE clauses can prevent Implicit
Pass-Through from passing the condition to the database.
Noticeable degradation of performance can occur because of the potential
for transferring large amounts of data from the database back to SAS®.
