Usage Note 20158: "ERROR: Cannot open SASHELP.EIS.UNIQUE.SCL" when running report created
with webEIS software
If you receive the following error message when running a report created
with webEIS software,
An Error Occured.
java.io.IOException: com.sas.net.server.RemoteSasException:
Connect.C22.ex.txt:
Sharenet.S283.ex.txt: Connection reset..
please check the SAS Log that is produced by this process to see if it
contains the following error message:
ERROR: The SAS/EIS product with which the procedure is associated
is either not licensed for your system or the product license has
expired. Please contact your SAS installation representative.
ERROR: Cannot open SASHELP.EIS.UNIQUE.SCL.
The entry UNIQUE.SCL is attempting to be referenced by the WebEIS
application in the incorrect location. This issue can be corrected by
running the following code in an interactive SAS session by someone that
has write access to the SAS installation files on the SAS Server.
proc catalog cat=sashelp.eissrv;
copy out=sashelp.eis;
select unique.scl;
run;
