Usage Note 20093: Sorting rules for SASĀ® Web Report Studio
SAS Web Report Studio sorts category data items based on data type and the object in which the values are displayed.

In the following example, a user-defined format has been applied to the Age data item, which has a numeric data type. The format replaces each numeric value with a string. For example, 11 is formatted as "eleven". In the list table, the values for Age are sorted by the formatted values. In the bar chart and the crosstabulation table, the values for Age are sorted by the unformatted values.
