Usage Note 20051: "ERROR: Read Access Violation In Task [ SETINIT ]" when you apply a SAS
Installation Data file
If you run the Renew SAS Software tool to renew the SAS Software
license, the following error might occur in the SETINIT.LOG file:
ERROR: Read Access Violation In Task [ SETINIT ]
This error is due to a corrupted SAS installation data file (SID file)
or a corrupted SAS CORE catalog.
To resolve the problem obtain a new SID file and run the Renew SAS
Software utility again. If the problem persists contact SAS Technical
Support for a new SAS CORE catalog.
