If you specify the LOGPARM system option, you may encounter messages like:
SAS® attempts to open files to check for existence and/or last modification date, in the case of OPEN=REPLACEOLD. Errors are generated when users do not have read access to existing log files. This situation may also prevent date and time directives specified in the LOG system option from being resolved properly.
To prevent this problem, ensure that all users have at least read access to all files in the directory in which the SAS logs are written.
