Problem Note 19778: PROC GMAP with the GIF device driver may leave extra white space around
the map
In certain situations, when using the GIF device driver with PROC GMAP,
extra white space may display outside of the map area. This is most
noticeable when using PROC GMAP to map a square or rectangular area.
While the amount of white space can be decreased using the XSIZE and
YSIZE options on the CHORO statement, these options cannot be used to
eliminate the white space entirely.
