Problem Note 19608: SAS® Metadata server fails to start when system restarted

When you restart your operating system, the SAS Metadata Server might not start, might appear to be stalled in the Windows Services Control Manager, and the following error messages might appear in the Event Viewer:

   Description: 
   The SAS Lev1 OB - &ltconfigdir> service depends on the 
   SAS Lev1 MS -&ltconfigdir> service which failed to start because of the 
   following error: 
 

The metadata server appears in the Windows Task Manager as SAS.exe and can be stopped and restarted in the Windows Services Control Manager.
