Problem Note 19514: BI Manager plug-in might be missing after SAS® Service Pack 4 has been installed

If the BI Manager plug-in is missing after SAS Service Pack 4 has been installed, it is most likely due to an older Version of SAS® Foundation Services still existing on the system. SAS Service Pack 4 includes SAS BI Manager 1.4 and must run with SAS Foundation Services 1.4.
To verify the version of SAS Foundation Services, follow these steps:

The version information is stored in a file called vpd.properties. Go to the home directory of the user that maintains the SAS installation and type the command:
more vpd.properties | grep Foundation
If the version number shown for SAS Foundation Services is prior to 1.4, download the newest version from SAS Foundation Services Download Packages.
IMPORTANT: After installing Service Pack 4 and SAS Foundation Services 1.4, it is of the utmost importance to install all available SAS® Management Console and BI Manager hot fixes! See Technical Support Hot Fixes. Please take special care of any ALERT hot fixes.
