Problem Note 19354: An error occurs when you use SAS/CONNECT® software to sign on to a remote UNIX machine that is running a UNIX spawner program

When you use SAS/CONNECT software to sign on to a remote UNIX machine that is running the UNIX spawner program (SASTCPD), the sign-on might fail intermittently with the following error messages:

   ERROR: A communication subsystem partner link setup request failure
          has occurred.

   ERROR: recv call failed, lost connection with client

If the -VERBOSE option is set in the spawner (SASTCPD) invocation statement, the following error might be reported in the trace log that is created:

Error spawning child process, message is Insufficient memory
