DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When appending a DATA= data set to a BASE= data set that has indexes, a page validation error can be generated and cause PROC APPEND to fail when using the SGIO option. This occurs on Windows operating systems.

The following error messages will be displayed in the SAS Log:

ERROR: Expecting page 4, got page 4 instead. ERROR: Page validation error while reading WORK.XXX.DATA. ERROR: File WORK.XXX.DATA is damaged. I/O processing did not complete.

In addition, during the processing of large amounts of data, the following error can also be generated:

ERROR: The open failed because library member librL.datasetname.DATA is damaged.
