Problem Note 19994: SAS/ACCESS® Interface to ODBC has been enhanced to use the new DB2 API interface for bulk loading and importing data to DB2
SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC has been enhanced to use the new DB2 API interfaces when you are bulk loading and importing data to DB2. These enhancements provide you with more options.
IBM recommends the use of the db2Import and db2Load interfaces rather than the older sqluimpr and sqluload interfaces.
New options that are available in the IMPORT and LOAD interfaces cannot be used without this new update to SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC.
The new option BL_ALLOW_WRITE_ACCESS is introduced in this update. BL_ALLOW_WRITE_ACCESS accepts either YES or NO as input. NO is the default. BL_ALLOW_WRITE_ACCESS is defined by IBM as an option that "specifies that the data in the table should still be accessible to
readers and writers while the import is in progress".
Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
Attention:This hot fix is intended for UNIX and Windows customers running the DB2 Client 8.1 Fix Pack 9 or later. Customers running earlier versions of the DB2 Client should only install hot fixes prior to E9D205.
