Problem Note 19819: Unexpected recurrences of communications are visible in the scheduling
and execution GANTT charts
In SAS® Marketing Automation, clicking the Synchronize Calendar button
in the Schedule Campaign dialog box can cause unexpected recurrences of
the communications to display in both the dialog box and the subsequent
execution screen.
This problem might occur because the Synchronize Calendar function does
not write any changes you make in the current session back to the
scheduling software. Instead, Synchronize Calendar retrieves and
displays what has already been scheduled, which overwrites any changes
you make. If you make any changes to the schedule, you need to save and
reschedule the campaign before you click Synchronize Calendar.
Another point to consider is that the Synchronize Calendar function uses
the Load Sharing Facility's (LSF) application programming interface to
retrieve the details that have actually been scheduled. Any changes you
make in the Schedule Manager plug-in for SAS® Management Console will
not be reflected unless those changes have been committed to the
scheduler.
