Usage Note 19614: How to import tab-delimited file encoded in unicode
To import a tab-delimited text file that is encoded in Unicode, use the
following code template that utilizes the ENCODING option on the
FILENAME statement.
FILENAME nls "<drive>:\path\your_file name_here.txt" ENCODING="unicode";
PROC IMPORT OUT= library.dataset_name
DATAFILE= nls
DBMS=DLM REPLACE;
