Problem Note 19521: Garbage characters are created from DBCS when a post-report is pasted from SAS® Enterprise Guide® to Microsoft Excel
Garbage characters result when the following conditions are true:
* You create a report in SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1 using the PRINT
procedure.
* Data contains double-byte character sets (DBCS), such as
Japanese.
* You copy the post-report into your operating system's clipboard.
* You paste the report into Microsoft Excel.
The HTML that is added to the clipboard is either missing the
correct encoding information or the Unicode text is not getting
transcoded correctly for the HTML encoding type.
There is currently no fix for this release of SAS Enterprise Guide.
