Problem Note 19344: SAS® may ignore indexes during query on 64-Bit UNIX systems
If a data set created prior to SAS 9.2 has more than two gigabytes of
rows, SAS does not use indexes in a query even if an appropriate index
exists and its use is warranted. This includes DATA Step and SQL
queries.
