Usage Note 19294: A message indicating that the current date is past the final expiration date for your SASĀ® System might display when you uninstall SAS
If you uninstall SAS on a Windows operating system and your SAS software is expired,
you might receive the following message:
WARNING: One or more libraries specified in the concatenated library
SASHELP do not exist. These libraries were removed from the
concatenation.
ERROR: The current date of weekday, month date, year is past
the final expiration date for your SAS system, which is weekday,
month date, year. .
Please contact your SAS Software Representative to obtain your
updated SETINIT information.
ERROR: Initialization of SETINIT information from SASHELP failed.
FATAL: Unable to initialize the options subsystem.
ERROR: (SASXKINI): PHASE 3 KERNEL INITIALIZATION FAILED.
UNABLE TO INITIALIZE THE SAS KERNEL
In order to uninstall SAS, perform one of the following:
- Request a temporary SAS installation data (SID) file to renew
your license on this computer. Once you receive the temporary SID
file, run the Renew SAS Software tool from Start ► Programs ►
SAS ► SAS 9.1 Utilities.
- Verify that you can invoke SAS, close SAS, and then uninstall SAS.
- If this is the ONLY version of SAS on the system (SAS 9.1), you
can delete the
c:\program files\SAS directory.
Notes:
- Option 1 provides the cleanest uninstall.
- If there are several versions of SAS on your system, do not
perform option 3.
