Usage Note 19072: Accessing an Oracle Virtual Private Database
Some sites are using the Oracle Virtual Private Database (VPD)
as a way to provide Row Security.
The VPD will automatically alter a query, based on the user ID
and password specified at connection, and return results
that are only applicable to that specific user.
Since the actual query altering happens on the Oracle side,
there is nothing that needs to change in the SAS/ACCESS® code.
Using SAS/ACCESS software, make sure that the desired Oracle user ID
and Oracle password are specified so that the appropriate results
are returned to the SAS® System.
