When you try to export formatted data from SAS Enterprise Guide using File -> Send To -> Microsoft Excel, your numeric formats will not be retained.
To circumvent this problem, export your data to a .csv file, then open it in Excel, and save it out to an Excel file. This can be done by right-clicking on the data node in the Project Explorer or Project Designer and selecting Export <table name>. Select the server on which you wish to save this file, and in the Export window change the Save As Type to .CSV (Comma Delimitted). Once you export the file, you can then open the .CSV file in Excel and save it back out to an Excel (.XLS) format.
