Problem Note 18929: Font type WingDings might not work on DBCS SAS® 9.1.3 with the GPLOT procedure

The WingDings font might not work properly with the Asian Language versions of SAS 9.1.3. Here is the sample code that illustrates the problem:


  proc gplot data=sashelp.class;
    plot weight*height=sex;
    symbol1  f="WingDings 2" v="98"x;
    symbol2  f="WingDings 2" v="99"x;
  run;
  quit;

Note that the output does not display any symbols, and no warning or error messages are generated.

This problem occurs only with DBCS versions of SAS 9.1.3, including Japanese, Chinese, and Korean.
