After migrating a project from SAS Enterprise Guide 2.x or 3.x to 4.1, queries might cause syntax errors. This particular problem will most likely occur when the query contains computed columns that use aggregation functions such as AVG, SUM, etc. The errors occur because the function is not parsed correctly. This results in misplaced quotes and consequently generates syntax errors.
To circumvent the problem, edit the computed column and remove the invalid quotes from the expression.
