Usage Note 18648: Errors occur if the SASĀ® configuration file is missing when you perform SAS installation and operational qualification tests
SAS installation and operational qualification tests do not run if the SASV9.CFG file is missing from the !sasroot folder (the default location is C:\Program Files\SAS\SAS 9.1. The following errors are reported in the SAS log:
SAS option '-PATH' not set.
Check configuration file, SAS environment options or command line options.
Note: A SAS Configuration file was not found.
SAS Option '-RESOURCESLOC' not set.
Check configuration file, SAS environment options or command line options.
Note: A SAS Configuration file was not found.
FATAL ERROR: WRCODE=80000803, MODULE='HIINIT':PATH OPTION UNAVAILABLE
Traceback....
To resolve the problem, verify that the !sasroot
folder contains a SASV9.CFG file and that the file contains the valid location of the main SASV9.CFG
configuration file.
By default, the SAS installation puts the SASV9.CFG file in
the !sasroot folder and puts the following text in that file:
-CONFIG "C:Program FilesSASSAS 9.1
lsenSASV9.CFG"
Both the SAS installation and the operational qualification tests rely on
the SASV9.CFG file in the !sasroot folder to find the location of the main SASV9.CFG configuration file. Therefore, both of the SASV9.CFG files must exist.
