Problem Note 18494: Column length is doubled when MySQL LIBNAME engine settings are
changed to any DBCS encoding values
When using SAS® to create a table with non-Latin1 data in MySQL,
the MySQL LIBNAME engine settings should change to reflect non-Latin1
languages. However, when any DBCS encoding value is used, the table
column length is doubled.
For example:
DBCONINIT="set names 'sjis';" (Japanese)
DBCONINIT="set names 'euckr';" (Korean)
