Problem Note 18439: Problems when viewing Microsoft Analysis Server cubes

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

The following list of problems may be encountered in SAS® Enterprise Guide® or SAS® Web OLAP Viewer for .NET when viewing Microsoft Analysis Server 2005 cubes:

  1. Empty query results may be returned if a non-member property is selected for display. An example of this is selecting a cell property that is not explicitly defined as a member property.
  2. Member property names may be duplicated if displayed, and then another level is moved into the table view.
  3. Unique member names may be truncated.
  4. Tasks dependent on cube data from Microsoft Analysis cubes may return the error: "Unable to create data on the default server."
  5. Exporting slice data from the cube may return an error: "The observation length for data set <libref>.<cubename>.DATA exceeds <some number> bytes. Reduce the number of variables and/or their lengths."
  6. Query syntax errors may be returned when applying filters.
  7. Unhandled exception errors when drilling down on cubes with relative contribution analyses.
  8. Application errors when using Time Series Analysis measures from a Microsoft Analysis Server cube.
