Problem Note 18202: 'Cannot start remote process' or 'spawner prompt not found' errors might
occur when connecting to a UNIX spawner program (sastcpd)
When connecting to the UNIX spawner program (sastcpd) via the
SAS/CONNECT® SIGNON or the SAS/IntrNet® Load Manager, the following
errors might occur:
From the SAS/CONNECT SIGNON:
'ERROR: Cannot start remote process.'
From the SAS/IntrNet Load Manager:
'Spawner prompt not found'
This problem might occur intermittently. You might be able to SIGNON or
connect via the Load Manager one time, but the next time you might get
the above error messages.
You might also receive the above error messages after a subsequent
number of SAS/CONNECT SIGNON/SIGNOFF successes.
