Usage Note 18908: In SASĀ®8.2 the FILENAME, FTP access method might corrupt the last line of input if the line does not have an end-of-line character
If your last line of input has no end-of-line character, the FILENAME,
FTP access method will handle that last line of input different in
SAS®8.2 than in subsequent releases of SAS® software.
For example, in SAS 8.2 on a Windows or UNIX platform the last line of
code in the %INCLUDE macro might not resolve properly if the end-of-line
character is not found. A warning might appear that is similar to that
which follows:
46 %CASI0;
WARNING: Missing %MEND statement.
Note that in SAS® 9.1.3 you might see a warning but the macro will
execute.
WARNING: Extraneous information on %MEND statement ignored for macro
definition CASI0.
The only circumvention for this problem is to add an end-of-line
character to the last line of the input.
