Usage Note 18798: A .SAS file might not show color coding or font changes when retrieved
with the SAS Enhanced Editor
When you open a .SAS file with the SAS Enhanced Editor, the file might
open in text mode with no color coding or font changes. To fix this,
allow SAS to re-create the Enhanced Editor entries in the Windows
registry by following these steps:
1) Start regedit.exe
2) Navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAS Institute Inc.\Enhanced Editor
3) Right-click "Enhanced Editor" in the tree. Select rename and rename
it to "Enhanced Editor.bak".
4) Start up SAS and open a .sas file.
Warning: Always back up your registry before you make any registry
changes. For assistance, see Windows Help, Microsoft documentation,
or the Microsoft Windows Web site. SAS is not responsible when
you edit the Windows registry: changes in the Windows registry
can render your system unusable and will require that you re-install
the operating system.
