Usage Note 18465: Proc Export to MSAccess "Error attempting to CREATE a DBMS table. ERROR:
Execute: Record is too large" errors
Using Proc Export to create a table in an MSAccess
database from a SAS data set, the following errors
were returned:
proc export data=mysasdata
outtable="mysasdata"
dbms=Access2000 REPLACE;
Database = "C:\Documents and Settings\mydatabase.mdb";
run;
ERROR: Error attempting to CREATE a DBMS table. ERROR: Execute: Record
is too large..
WARNING: File deletion failed for _IMEX_.mysasdata.DATA.
ERROR: Export unsuccessful. See SAS Log for details.
NOTE: The SAS System stopped processing this step because of errors.
NOTE: PROCEDURE EXPORT used (Total process time):
real time 0.42 seconds
cpu time 0.16 seconds
The source data set 'mysasdata' was created by SPSS 13.0
as follows,
SAVE TRANSLATE OUTFILE='C:\Documents and Settings\mysasdata.sas7bdat'
/TYPE=SAS /VERSION=7 /PLATFORM=WINDOWS /MAP /REPLACE.
SPSS applies a format of 18. to the numeric fields.
When the format was removed or changed to a more appropriate
format, the Export to MSAccess was successful.
