Problem Note 18439: Problems when viewing Microsoft Analysis Server cubes
The following list of problems may be encountered in SAS® Enterprise
Guide® or SAS® Web OLAP Viewer for .NET when viewing Microsoft Analysis
Server 2005 cubes:
- Empty query results may be returned if a non-member property
is selected for display. An example of this is selecting a
cell property that is not explicitly defined as a member property.
- Member property names may be duplicated if displayed, and then
another level is moved into the table view.
- Unique member names may be truncated.
- Tasks dependent on cube data from Microsoft Analysis cubes may
return the error: "Unable to create data on the default server."
- Exporting slice data from the cube may return an error:
"The observation length for data set <libref>.<cubename>.DATA
exceeds <some number> bytes. Reduce the number of variables and/or
their lengths."
- Query syntax errors may be returned when applying filters.
- Unhandled exception errors when drilling down on cubes with
relative contribution analyses.
- Application errors when using Time Series Analysis measures from
a Microsoft Analysis Server cube.
