WebSphere requires a war file to deploy applications. A war file for
the Enterprise Miner Model Viewer is not distributed with EM, so the
war file (web archive) needs to be built. To make war files from the
Model Viewer application and deploy the application, perform the
following steps:

   1. Establish a telnet session and set the current directory to

        (sashome)/SASAPCore/apps/EnterpriseMiner/webapps/sasmr

      which is the folder that contains the jsp files.

   2. Issue the command

              jar cvf ../sasmr.war .

     (Do not forget the trailing space and dot.)


The war will be produced into the

   (sashome)/SASAPCore/apps/EnterpriseMiner/webapps

folder. Note that it may be necessary to specify the path to the jar
program command if the Java binary is not in the PATH environment
variable.

The war file can be named other than "sasmr" according to application
naming preferences of the WebSphere administrator. The name for the
war file (for example "sasmr" above) is the context path by which
WebSphere applications will know the EM viewer application.


   3. Using the admin tool for WebSphere, deploy the application by
      pointing to the sasmr.war file in the folder

        (sashome)/SASAPCore/apps/EnterpriseMiner/webapps

Note: The Enterprise Miner 5.2 Java Web Start (JWS) client deployment
application cannot be installed as an application under a web server
external to the SAS Analytics Platform server. For information about
the EM 5.2 JWS client setup see the

This note applies to WebSphere running on any of its supported
platforms.
