Problem Note 17906: The I/O subsystem has returned error message 'WHERE clause is not allowed with preset index.'

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It
Users attempting to check out Metadata to a Change Management repository
may receive the error message

WHERE clause is not allowed with preset index.

Check the Metadata server log. If the error:

Could not get the first value in this index.

is followed by many of the following errors:

WHERE clause is not allowed with preset index.

then the Metadata server may need to be stopped and restarted to
complete the checkout.

Note that this problem has occurred when:

1.) MetadataServer option WorkUnitJournalling is turned on
2.) A Data Integration Studio project repository is checked in
3.) Objects are subsequently checked out to the same repository.

One circumvention is to stop the Metadata Server, turn off WorkUnit
Journalling and restart the Metadata Server.
