Usage Note 17859: Stored Process Server may "hang" on Unix if the DISPLAY environment
variable is not set for the Object Spawner
When starting the Object Spawner, you must set the DISPLAY environment
variable to a running X server. Otherwise, the Stored Process Server
may "hang" on UNIX when executing a Stored Process that prints or
executes a SAS/GRAPH procedure. In addition, performance may be
unusually slow when executing a Stored Process that executes a SAS/GRAPH
procedure.
Use one of the following methods to set the DISPLAY environment variable
when starting the Object Spawner.
Modify your "ObjectSpawner.sh" file and specify of the following line
near the top of the file:
export DISPLAY=<machine name>:0.0
An alternative approach is to specify the "display" option on the
command to invoke SAS.
-display=<machine name>:0.0
