Problem Note 17857: Exception may occur while exporting a block of objects from the Data Integration Studio custom tree

In SAS® Data Integration Studio 3.4, exporting an object may result in a failure due to a java exception occuring. In this situation a message is written to the Export log whose content is similar to the following:
ERROR - Failure exporting metadata from source repository.
Reason: org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: sam.S235.ex.msg: An exception was
thrown while reading a packet header from the socket.
