When you install SAS^® Email Marketing 2.2 and SAS Marketing Automation, you might see errors similar to the one below:

java.rmi.ServerException: RemoteException occurred in server thread;
nested exception is:
java.rmi.RemoteException: EJB Exception: ; nested exception is:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sas/email/rmi/asp/AspProviderManager

These errors are returned when you try to add or change an export definition using the SAS Management Console Marketing Automation plug-in. The errors are caused by a problem in the integration between SAS Email Marketing and SAS Marketing Automation. There is a missing class of com/sas/email/rmi/asp/AspProviderManager in the new sas.email.broadcast.jar

In order to correct the problem, copy the following files to the export adapter installation directory, or \SASMarketingAutomation\MAExportAdapters\4.3.

• sas.email.core.jar
• the new sas.email.broadcast.jar taken from the BESS directory, or \SASEmailMarketing\2.2\doc\lib

If you use a WebLogic application server, add the sas.email.core.jar to BEA's managed server class path. This must be done because of the missing class of com/sas/email/rmi/asp/AspProviderManager in the new sas.email.broadcast.jar
