Problem Note 17176: JDBC connection to SAS/SHARE Server encounters transcoding error for non-English locale

When connecting to a SAS/SHARE® server via JDBC, the following error message may occur:

   java.sql.SQLException: Sharenet.S58.ex.txt: Sharenet.S249.ex.txt:
   -2013128491

     Source)
     at com.sas.net.sharenet.ShareNetDriver.connect(Unknown Source)
     at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(Unknown Source)
     at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(Unknown Source)
     at JDBCTest.main(JDBCTest.java:35)

This is due to the the JDBC connection not being established on non-English locale because of transcoding error.
