Usage Note 17170: Login and MAPI failures when using SAS to send Email via Netscape and
other email clients
When you use Netscape and other email clients to send email from SAS,
the following errors messages might appear:
ERROR: Login failure.
The Mapi spooler could not be started. Close and then restart all
e-mail...
MAPI 1.0 000004C7
The problem occurs when you have an older MAPI32.DLL in your
Windows\System32 folder.
To resolve the problem procure a newer MAPI32.DLL either from Micrsoft
(you could install Outlook Express, for example), or copy it from a
computer that is working. If you install Outlook Express, you need to
reset the default email client as shown in SAS Note #010545 :
