Usage Note 17815: The location of the installation logs for SASĀ® AppDev Studio(TM) and the Eclipse plug-have changed
SAS AppDev Studio 3.02 no longer includes webAFTM or webEISTM software and requires the Eclipse plug-in. As a result, the location of the installation logs have changed. A SAS AppDev Studio installation log is created only when warnings or error messages are generated and appear in c:\appdevstudio\log.txt.
When you create a workspace after installation, an Eclipse log is created in your workspace directory in \.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.ui.workbench\log.
For example, if you create a workspace directory in c:\ads 3.2, the Eclipse plug-in log is located in c:\ads 3\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.ui.workbench\log.
You can also access the log in Eclipse via the following steps:
- Click Help>About Eclipse SDK

- Click the Configuration Details button.
- Click the View Log button.
Note that the log appends all sessions, so you must view the log from the bottom and work back to the most recent session. Hint: Look for the timestamped !SESSION entry.
