Usage Note 17711: SAS/STAT Power and Sample Size does not produce table, graph, or
narratives
SAS/STAT Power and Sample Size (PSS) appears to calculate but does not
produce a table, graph or narratives when Tomcat is running as a
service. These messages might appear in the output:
The table has not been produced. Check the SAS log for problems.
The graph has not been produced. Check the SAS log for problems.
The narratives have not been produced. Check the SAS log for
problems.
The most likely cause is Tomcat is running as a service and the
service logs on as the local system account. In this scenario, there is
not a valid sasuser path in which SAS can use when a PSS session is
submitted.
The following steps can be used to correct this:
1. Navigate to the C:\Documents and Settings\LocalService folder.
Note: You might have to edit view settings to see the
LocalService folder.
2. Create a folder called My Documents in the LocalService folder.
You should now have a folder structure as follows:
C:\Documents and Settings\LocalService\My Documents
3. Invoke PSS again, run your calculation, and it should now produce
the output correctly.
Another workaround: in the Apache Tomcat service properties in the "Log
On" tab, change the "Log on as" to a valid account.
