Usage Note 17572: "ERROR: A username is required" message in Object Spawner log file for
Stored Process Server request
When attempting to execute a request using the Stored Process Server,
the following error message may appear in your Object Spawner's log file
if your Stored Process Server has not been configured for "Load
Balancing."
ERROR: A username is required.
You can configure your Stored Process Server to use "Load Balancing".
In your SAS Management Console, under "Server Manager", right-click on
the entry for your "Logical Stored Process Server" (for example "SASMain
- Logical Stored Process Server"). Then, select "Convert to" and select
"Load Balancing." You will need to restart your Object Spawner after
making this modification.
Refer to SAS Note #12303 for other scenarios that can also cause the
error message:
"ERROR: A username is required"
in your Object Spawner's log file.
