Problem Note 17384: "Error: DATANOTEXIST,{libref}.{tablename}" when running a node in SAS® Enterprise Miner 5.2 client
Nodes run in the SAS® Enterprise Miner 5.2 client might fail, producing
a Run Status message box containing,
A problem has been encountered on the server
The node results read,
Error: DATANOTEXIST,MYLIB.TESTDATA
An error occurred while running this node. Please refer to the
SAS log component of this node's results for more information.
where MYLIB refers to the libref pointing to your SAS Data Library, and
TESTDATA refers to the name of your data table.
This error occurs when the Data Source used as input to a diagram flow
is defined to a library declared in Initialization Code in the Metadata.
This initialization code is also known as the EM_SERVER_INIT_CODE
extended attribute on the SAS Workspace Server.
The error occurs because the Initialization Code is not properly passed
to the SAS sessions for diagram nodes.
To circumvent the problem, use Project Start-Up Code to define the data
library. Libraries declared through Project Start-Up Code are properly
passed to each node
