Usage Note 17316: Enterprise Guide 4 forces Stored Process "Streaming" output to
"Transient" output
When running Stored Processses in Enterprise Guide 4, "Streaming" output
will be forced to "Transient" output unless you override this default
behavior.
For example, if you run either the "Sample: Hello World" or the "Sample:
Stored Process Macro Variables" sample Stored Process, they will not
execute successfully since they require "Streaming" output. The
following error will be received:
ERROR: Insufficient authorization to access <path>/_webout.dat.
If your Stored Process requires "Streaming" output, you must
do the following to enable "Streaming."
1.) Go to "Tools" -> "Options"
2.) On the "Options" window under "Results", select "Stored Process"
3.) On the "Results" -> "Stored Process" window uncheck the "Force
Streaming to Transient" option.
4.) In addition, you must select the "Streaming Output" option on
the "Output / Input" window for the Stored process.
Any Stored Process that explicitly sends output to the "_webout" fileref
requires "Streaming" output.
