Problem Note 16839: ERROR: A failure occurred while generating InfoObjects Metadata

When performing a full metadata extract on a SAP BW system, an error message similar to the following may be generated:
ERROR: A failure occured while generating InfoObjects Metadata.
Check SAS Log for messages.

The current work-around is to extract metadata for an infocube or ODS table that contains the infoobject. You should specify the option "merge into existing metadata" to preserve previous metadata extracts.
