Pre-Assigned Libraries using either the SAS^® System Option MetaAutoResources, the Meta Libname Engine or Proc Metalib, may fail to be allocated with the following error:

The error occurs when the directory path created with the Stored Process Manager or the Schedule Manager is associated with a SAS Library that also has an Associated DeployedComponent of a ServiceContext.

Also, if a path that was created by Library Manager is later selected and used in the Stored Process Manager or Schedule Manager, then the Library will fail.

To circumvent the error, add a new identical path to the metadata. Associate the SAS Library with the newly defined path and not the original path.

Do not delete the original path. Deleting the original path may result in removing a path from an existing object.

Pre-Assigned Libraries using the MetaAutoInit Object Server parameter will just fail to be allocated. No error will be shown.
