Problem Note 16116: Pre-Assigned Library fails with an unexpected error has occurred
Pre-Assigned Libraries may fail when using the Meta Libname engine (MLE)
or the METAUTORESOURCES system option with the following error:
Bridge protocol engine socket access method was unable to connect an
outcall socket to myserverhasalongname.domain.subdomainid.com:8561,
error = 0 (An unexpected error has occurred.).
The error will occur when the METASERVER system option value has a
length greater than 40 characters.
Some applications such as Enterprise Guide or ETL Studio will not show
the error, but will not display any Pre-Assigned Libraries.
It may be possible to circumvent the problem by modifying the
-METASERVER option in the sasv9.cfg file under the
SAS\<Projectname>\Lev1\SASMain directory. Use a valid name that is
shorter than 40 characters, such as the server's IP address or hostname
without the domain.
