Problem Note 16067: Required IBM Websphere file information is missing from instructions.html
for SAS® Marketing Automation and SAS® Marketing Optimization installations
If you are installing SAS Marketing Automation with IBM WebSphere as
your Web application server, and have run the configuration wizard
that builds your instructions.html file, you might be missing some details
about the required files for IBM WebSphere.
The instructions make
reference to the section "Additional Files Required for IBM WebSphere
Installations," which lists some JAR files that you need to copy manually.
That information is shown below.
You might also need to copy these files before you can use the SAS® Management Console,
because the initial parameters for SAS Management Console will look for these
JAR files and the application may not initialize if it cannot find all the JARs.
If you are planning to integrate SAS Marketing Optimization with SAS Marketing Automation,
you will also need to copy these files to the SAS Marketing Optimization client.
They are not necessary if you are using SAS Marketing Optimization in Standalone mode.
Additional Files required for IBM WebSphere installations
The list of files below needs to be copied to the installation
directory of each SAS Marketing Automation Client Application. Please note
that most of these files must be copied from the pluggable application
client directory and not the application server directory (as
indicated by WPAC_HOME, which will be the
WebSphere\AppClient directory).
As stated in the prerequisites, customers must install the
Pluggable Application Client component from the WebSphere Application
Client CD in order to make these client JARs available. Failure to
copy the WebSphere JARs to the appropriate SAS directories will result
in application exceptions including a java.lang.ClassCastException.
