Usage Note 16946: "Local" server missing from Enterprise Guide Server List
The local server is missing from Enterprise Guide Server list.
By default, regardless of which repository is active, the Enterprise
Guide server list includes a listing for a "local" server if an instance
of SAS is installed on that machine.
If the listing for a local server is missing from a server list that is
defined by a metadata repository, it is possible that an application
server has been defined with the host name "localhost". The host of an
application server can be determined by selecting the logical workspace
server from the Server Manager in the SAS Management Console.
If the application server's host is defined as local, the application
server needs to be redefined by using the fully qualified machine name
of the application server for the host name.
Once the server is redefined, the Enterprise Guide server list should
contain the local server.
